I'm Allie Applegate.

The short version is: I’m a watercolor artist, toddler mom, dog lover and wedding planner. Oh and a stationery artist of course!
The long version is: I have loved art as long as I can remember. Growing up I spent many summers in my moms fine arts frame shop meeting artist and enthusiast alike. I have taken classes in multiple mediums from water color to ceramics, acrylics, chalk and more. But eventually my studies led me to the hospitality industry and eventually weddings.
I am proud to say I have nearly ten years of experience studying, designing, planning and executing luxury weddings. With my guidance, I hope you will find joy in the process of creating cherished art together! Emma is the digital mind behind the design, transforming Allie’s watercolor art into print-ready stationery pieces.
With a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and nearly a decade of experience in the wedding industry, she brings a rare blend of creative precision, technical know-how, and deep hospitality roots to the world of paper goods.
Emma and Allie met in 2017, both as aspiring wedding planners, and from day one it was clear they were kindred spirits. Through each new role, they stayed connected, always carrying the idea of a stationery studio tucked in their back pockets.
After a wild and transformative 2024, they finally decided to go for it! Launching Weddings Are My Thing is the full circle moment that brought all of their experience and creativity into the business they'd both been dreaming of.
